November 22 games of the week

So what’s in a name like “head coach in waiting?”  Good for Muschamp.  He will get to be next in line for the annual spanking by the Sooners.  Just pay them for goodness sake and they won’t care who they work for and what their title is.  It’s all about the Benjamins.  “Let me answer that for Chris” lessons sold separately.  http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3711246

Here’s the rundown for this weekend:

11:00 Michigan at #10 Ohio State abc
The only reasons to watch this one are a) new Michigan coaches are 11-1 in their first game against the Buckeyes or b) to see Rich Rod lose …again.  The Buckeyes are playing for a share of the Big 10 title.  Michigan’s starting QB is out which really can’t hurt their 106th ranked passing attack or their 105th ranked turnover margin.   Ohio St is playing for style points.

Ohio State is giving 19.5 at home. Take Ohio St to cover.

6:15 #20 Pitt at #19 Cincinnati the deuce
This could be one of the best games of the weekend.  Two really evenly matched teams playing for 1st place in the Big lEast and a BCS bowl.  Pitt has a pretty evenly balanced offense while Cincy relies mostly on the passing game with a 90th ranked rushing Offense.  Both teams are prone to turnovers.  Pitt will be disrupting the passing game with their 16th ranked sack defense and Cincy’s 80th ranked O line when it comes to sacks allowed.

The Bearcats are giving 4 at home.  I’m taking Pitt to win.

7:00 #2 Texas Tech at #5 Oklahoma abc
The biggest game in the history of this year.  #1 vs #2 total offense, #55 vs #60 total defense, #1 vs #16 in turnover margin, #2 and #6 in sacks allowed.  This game will be won by the team that doesn’t’ stop themselves.  Bob Stoops only has 2 losses in Norman and Mike Leach w/Texas Tech has never won in Norman.  This is the only game between Texas Tech and winning the South (other than Baylor which hasn’t mattered since the Big 12 and beyond).   OU hasn’t put together 4 quarters of football this year.  Tech has done it twice.  OU’s secondary has a knack for giving up big plays and their defense is a bit banged up.  Kick return coverage is terrible for OU.

Oklahoma is giving 6.5 and I think it’s pretty close, but Tech wins and covers (don't tell the mrs. that I picked against her beloved Sooners).

"Hello Uhaul?  We need a couple of moving vans at the Wright residence in west Norman.  Thanks"
