What are you lookin at October 25th
Happy Friday to all of you. The frauds will continue to be exposed this week in college football.
11:00 #8 Texas Tech at #23 Kansas ESPN
This one will be a track meet. Not much defense to speak of and the first team to 35 points will win. The Kansas offense will have all the time that they need to throw the ball against a weak TT D line. The Jayhawks are solid in all aspects of the game while TT is hot and cold. Expect Kansas to make sure the Crabtree is in cover 2 all day and force the Raiders to go to some other guys.
Jayhawks are getting 1 point at home. I'm taking the home dog and the points.
11:30 #4 Oklahoma at Kansas State FSN
We saw signs of life at K state in a one point loss to a horrible Colorado team but that could be their high point of the season. Look for the Wildcats to load the box and let OU rip them to shreds through the air. Builds character.
Kansas State is getting 19 points at home. I'm picking against the home dog in this one and betting that OU covers.
2:30 #7 Georgia at #13 LSU CBS
A couple of fairly evenly matched teams here. The Dawgs are bringing a stingy rushing D this week that is ranked 3rd in the country. LSU's not too shabby either. This will be a classic, grind it out low scoring affair in the SEC.
LSU is giving 2.5 at home. What does Vegas know that the coaches don't? I'm taking LSU to cover at home.
2:30 #6 Oklahoma State at #1 Texas
What do you get when you play Washington St, Missouri St, Houston, Texas A&M and Baylor and throw in one win against an over hyped Missouri team? Your butt kicked when you go to Austin. That's what's going to happen. The stingy Texas D won't let OSU score at will and the suspect OSU secondary will be hung out like wet clothes.
Texas is giving 13 at home. I'm taking Texas to cover.
7:00 #3 Penn State at #9 Ohio State
Penn State is better than Ohio State in all statistical categories. This isn't going to be a high scoring one either. Look for straight up D and conservative offense from Ohio State. This is one of those games that comes down to the play makers on both sides of the ball. Maybe it's the Big 10 hype machine talking but I think the almost 2 time national champs have more play makers.
Ohio State is getting 2.5 at home. I'm taking the home dogs and the points.
And after the done is deal, Lester "Les" Miles can look forward to a nice relaxing evening at home with his wife and kids....
