Breaking down the Big 12 - Texas Tech Red Raiders
With a non conference schedule that would make Bill Snyder blush, this team was the mid-summer media darling and dark horse pick to make a BCS run with 18 returning starters, I present ..
The Texas Tech Red Raiders
2007 Season: 9-4, 4-4 Conf
2008 Season: 11-2, 6-2 Conf
Highlights: Harrell and Crabtree are joined by Detron Lewis on their #1 ranked passing offense from last year. They have a solid returning line and their RB depth is really good. They get to find some new blood for their underachieving secondary.
Lowlights: 82nd in Rushing defense and 87th in turnover margin from last year, with a year under his belt the new D coordinator Ruffin McNeill should be able to put a respectable D on the field in Lubbock.
Keys to Success: Hold onto the rock. The Raiders can get their guns up IF they can win on the road this season. They also need to keep the egos in check and not listen to the hype. This could lead to the team collapsing from within since Mike Leach isn't a disciplinarian.

The Budweiser Girls of Lubbock. (probably not from Lubbock and not drinking bud, given the rest of their natural looks.)
