Breaking down the Big 12 - Colorado Buffaloes

39.

Continuing to break down the Big 12 team by team, we now travel to get our rocky mountain high on.

Colorado Buffaloes

2007 Season:
6-7, 4-4 conf

2008 Season: 6-6, 4-4 conf

Highlights: The Buff's return 15 of 22 starters from their 6-7 team last year.  TE convert Patrick Devenny could deliver some positive results.  Expect Colorado to improve on their 72nd total offense ranking.  The young O line should be much improved and much deeper.  Not much room for improvement on their 17th ranking in sacks allowed.

Lowlights:  Defense. They were 100th in tackles for loss last year, 95th in sacks and 103rd in pass defense.

Keys to Success: Colorado will have a breakout season if they can shore up the cornerback position, get some schemes that will give them penetration on the D line and improve on their 83rd in the nation turnover margin.

The Games:

Aug. 30 Colorado State - W What a way to start the season.  I love this game every year.
Sept. 6 Eastern Washington - W
Sept. 18 West Virginia - L The Buff's could steal this one if WV is not careful.
Sept. 27 @ Florida State  - L
Oct. 4 Texas - L
Oct. 11 @ Kansas - W
Oct. 18 Kansas State - W
Oct. 25 @ Missouri - L
Nov. 1 @ Texas A&M - L
Nov. 8 Iowa State - W
Nov. 15 Oklahoma State - W
Nov. 28 @ Nebraska - L

Out
6-6 is better than the intramurals brother!
