Thoughts on the first day of the draft

Wow!  Is it really 120ish days until kickoff?  It can't get here fast enough.

Draft day 1-

The only big 12 team to have a player in the first round~Kansas, Aquib Talib a Corner Back who was scorched by Mizzou and KSU and has failed 3 drug tests.  Went to Tampa Bay.  I would have guessed the Bengals.

Big 12 teams with players in the second round: Colorado (2), Oklahoma (2), Kansas State (1), Texas A&M (1) and Lima Bean Sweed from texass.

Note to Malcolm Kelly: I would have saved the scorched earth departure approach for after the draft.  That's just me though.  You could have overcome a slow 40 on Pro day.  I guess the rumors about your bad attitude and the fact that you didn't play in the Fiesta Bowl because you were already saving yourself for the NFL are true.

Big College winners~ (you can't spell suck without) USC.  Seven players drafted on day one.  With a record like that, no wonder USC keeps getting the primo kids out of high school.

Anyone know how many DBs the sooners have had drafted since Bobby Jack took over as DB coach? Derrick Straight (2004), Brodney Pool, Antonio Perkins, Donte Nicholson (2005).

Zero drafted since 2006 draft.  So there are no players drafted (yet) who Bobby Jack has been the position coach for in excess of 2 years.  Do you think that should tell us something?  Oh yeah...

Happy Fathers Day!! This link is from the Homer-ism knows no bounds category. http://www.sportsline.com/mcc/messages/chrono/8817934 Sportsline has this on line poll to try and pick the best secondary coach in College Football. Bobby Jack Wright is leading at 40%. This has got to be those koolaid drinkers over at Soonerfans.com (which sucks btw) or some other homers who think "Never heard of him, but since he's from OU I'll vote for him." You all suck. Oklahoma ranked 61st in the NCAA in passing yards allowed last season, behind say half of the Division ...
