Counting them up... Meineke Car Care (12 ), Autozone Liberty Bowl (13) and Valero Alamo Bowl (14) - Dec 29th Line up
After today's post, you will all want to be Aggies. I know I do. As of the posting of this one, my record is a respectable 6-2. Go figure. Screwed by the Turf Smurfs and the Whorns.
Meineke Car Care Bowl
UConn vs Wake Forest
Noon Central
Why do you care? This is your chance to see the two teams that both beat Duke and lost to Virginia by 1 point. Woohoo!!! Ok. So you really don't care. Other than that, you can't watch them all if you don't watch this one.
What to watch for: This is a pick'em. Not going to be a spectacular game, but I'm picking the Huskies to grind out a victory.
Autozone Liberty Bowl
Central Florida vs Mississippi State
3:30 Central
Why do you care? You can tune into one game and see the SEC coach of the year and the Nation's top running back on UCF's team.
What to watch for: George O'Leary (yeah the guy that lied on his resume) brings the knights and Kevin Smith to the big time. Croom has done a great job with Mississippi State, but they've ran pretty hot and cold this year. I don't expect Mississippi to be able to stop the run, even though they have only allowed 159 rushing yards per game. UCF has held opponents to around 21 ppg, so I doubt MSU can score enough to stay in this one. The fighting knights win this one.
Valero Alamo Bowl
Penn State vs A&M
7PM CT
Why do you care? Either a) because Joe Pa is going for win 500 b) you're waiting on Gary Darnell to start his next random coaching spree of 5 teams in 7 years or c) you wish you were an Aggie (if not you will pretty soon).
What to watch for: When A&M is on offense, the J train and McGee are going to have a tall order if they intend to run between the tackles. Linebacker U is more disciplined than anyone the Aggs have played this year. The best bet is going to be for McGee to catch a DE cheating and cut in or more likely for Goodson to beat them on the edges. If A&M can establish the passing game like they did against texass, then it's an Aggie win.
When Penn State is on Offense, bottom line is they have to control the ball. Morelli had a monumental breakdown one game this season and had 4 turnovers on PSU's last five possessions. A&M Secondary is suspect and Penn State can keep them honest with a decent run game. My heart picks the Aggies but my wallet is picking the Nittany Lions.
Go Ags!!.....
